my creative space

a mixture of things in my space these last few days.....

sorting out threads and looking through patterns to start another stitchery......

working out how to make my Owl stitchery a freebie. I have actually done this and will post it soon..........

and making Cindy's lovely Apple Cake. Mine had to stay in the dish as using gluten free flour made it a little bit crumbly, but with lots of cream it tasted just fine.....very fine in fact

more spaces over at Kirsty's

The stitch pattern looks great - I can't wait to see if anyone else does it. All those different interpretations of one project - always interesting, I think. Your yummy pie is making me hungry!

Hi, it's me again! Had to come back and comment to reply to your comment... I can only crochet edges so far and that seems like a pretty easy thing to start on. I did try making flowers a few months ago and they were really unco looking things that I shoved under a bed somewhere or other. For me, the difference was trying something easier and actually being shown by someone - my mum. I tried reading instructions in books and couldn't make head nor tail of them. The squares I've knitted are on the bias, very easy, starting with two stitches and increasing up to 40, knitting a complete row of 40, then decreasing down to two stitches again. I will probably have to do a tutorial!
