granny love

I uploaded these and a few other crochet photos to Flickr (see sidebar) recently but felt I needed to share the granny and op shop love on the blog too
I have been so lucky to score a few beautiful blankets at the op shop over the last 2 or 3 years and these two, especially the top one would be my faves. The one up the top is huge. It hangs on the floor on our queen bed and weighs a ton!
In my never ending quest to master the granny square (and any crochet for that matter) I am happy having these beauties to love

Yay for granny squares! I'm re-learning them tomorrow (trying) after a break of at least 12 years...hope I can remember!

You found these in an Op shop?? People actually give them away? Ok, so in my opinion, some people are just idiots!

Good find though! One of the things I love about Granny Blankets - is the weight of them!

OOh they're gorgeous!

I found some yummy ones (identical-ish) earlier in the year, if you go to my blog and search for granny love you will find their photos.

Yours are yummy!

Although....I sometimes wonder what folk who google Granny Love are expecting to find? Something in the geriatric line perhaps?

I have a background granny square obsession thing going on. Just let me get a few deadlines out of the way and I'm on the case! (nice timing what with summer looming!)...
