I uploaded these and a few other crochet photos to
Flickr (see sidebar) recently but felt I needed to share the granny and op shop love on the blog too

I have been so lucky to
score a few beautiful blankets at the op shop over the last 2 or 3 years and these two, especially the top one would be my faves. The one up the top is huge. It hangs on the floor on our queen bed and weighs a ton!
In my never ending quest to master the granny square (and any crochet for that matter) I am happy having these beauties to love
xx

OH wow lucky you! They are both gorgeous and I have to say I think the top one is my favourite out of the two too! Just gorgeous
What fabulous finds! I love them :) The top one has my vote too, but of course I would have snapped them both up like you did :) K
Yay for granny blankets!
I luffs the top one - 'tis awesome. :D
Yay for granny squares! I'm re-learning them tomorrow (trying) after a break of at least 12 years...hope I can remember!
You found these in an Op shop?? People actually give them away? Ok, so in my opinion, some people are just idiots!
Good find though! One of the things I love about Granny Blankets - is the weight of them!
What a lovely blanket. Very cosy looking.
Love the granny blankets. Wish I could crochet too...bought some wool to learn hopefully.
They are stunning-I am glad they went to a good home!
Oh, thank you for asking- the boys are great!! Such lovable little creatures- I just posted a video of them. :)
Lucky girl! the one on the couch is fantastic, and so big!
I particularly like the top one - imagine all the work that went into that!
OOh they're gorgeous!
I found some yummy ones (identical-ish) earlier in the year, if you go to my blog and search for granny love you will find their photos.
Yours are yummy!
Although....I sometimes wonder what folk who google Granny Love are expecting to find? Something in the geriatric line perhaps?
I have a background granny square obsession thing going on. Just let me get a few deadlines out of the way and I'm on the case! (nice timing what with summer looming!)...
