...
playing with some new ideas with some of my Suzi stamps........
sorting out (playing with) art supplies
they are still in organised chaos
and finally some of my dried up tubes of paint have actually found their way to the bin and I have ones left that I can open and squeeze and paint comes out, my creative space is looking a tiny wee bit tidier, I emphasise "tiny wee bit".....

create...
My creating has all been about working flat out to finish this mixed media mini book for my bestie. It is a late birthday present and I am happy to say I actually got it finished.
It went in the mail this week to Western Australia
and it was such a relief to have it finished
I now still have one more gift I am making
I am working on that almost as we speak.....
it feels sooooo good to be getting on with projects I have started too long ago
I also have a project started for The Youngest and once these birthday presents are all done it will be full on with that one too.
This was so much fun too make and as you can see my philosophy when it comes to these little mixed media projects is more is more.....can't stop with the glitter
What's been happening in your space? Pop over to Kirsty's to see what else has been going on this last week in crafty peep's places

retail therapy...
I haven't been op shopping on a regular basis for quite some time now. I have been trying to cut down on stuff and so had only been buying things I knew I would really use. As it turned out it was getting very hard to find anything to fit that criteria so I just stopped going all the time.
Today after a doctor's visit I felt I needed some retail therapy after yesterday's devastating news of the Gillard Govt's hideous decision to break their word on a 6 month live export ban.
Well it paid off. I found this gorgeous beauty. She is a medium size mixing bowl. It is now quite hard to find Pyrex with a brightly coloured motif that is not totally wrecked. The few little scratches in the photo are the only ones so she has been looked after and was quite happy to be put in the cupboard with some long lost friends.

I couldn't resist a kitschy aboriginal 1980 tea towel and a kitschy aboriginal tablecloth. I was trying not to buy more vintage linens as my plan to sew them all is rather slow coming to fruition and the collection is rather large. But I do actually use the tablecloths on dressing tables etc. So maybe that's a good enough reason to keep buying them.........Yes I think it is...
and these 2 gorgeous plates I bought a little while ago and don't think I shared them. It's quite a rare thing to find dinnerware made in Australia from the 50s and 60s now, so I was stoked to find these. They get used all the time and are holding up well
retail therapy done and dusted.......best score in ages
