I am feeling so incredibly lucky at the moment. I recently had a birthday and was so thoroughly spoilt. I really didn't think a birthday could have that special feeling again like it has when you are young but it did.
My absolute BEST friend in the world ever came over from Perth to celebrate with me and this made it a very special time.
She came laden with goodies from other friends in WA for me for my birthday! So many presents, it was wonderful.
We all went out for lunch and Zoe came from Hobart with her boyfriend too. Hubby arranged a specially made gluten free vegan birthday cake for me which was delicious.
It was special in so many ways. My mum also has her birthday on the same day.
One of my pressies from my Bestie was Kate's book Vantastic. I had been waiting to have this book in my hand for so long, since we all knew Kate was going to write it.
The book is even better than I ever imagined it could be. I, like many others followed Kate and her family as they travelled around Australia in their caravan. I couldn't wait to check in each day to see if Kate had blogged, living vicariously through Kate's posts.
Vantastic has ideas and checklists for travelling in a caravan but it is more than that. You don't need to be embarking on a trip at all to love this book. There is craft and cooking and eye candy photos. It has Kate's wonderful way of writing, just the same as she writes on her blog Foxs Lane. The book itself feels beautiful. It is so tactile to hold. It has a thick squishy cover with a vintage look.
Thank you Kate for putting this book out into the world for us to own and enjoy and thank you my Bestie for giving it to me and I miss you xx
