The Lady...

"Progressing from a common housewife into a fearless woman who takes on the status quo of old Burma, Aung San Suu Kyi was determined to raise her children in a society that was free and understanding. She became an opposition leader and was determined to fight the oppression that was part of Burmese life...."

A fabulous film you simply must see, about an amazing, strong inspirational woman.  An incredible true story. A very touching one and one of bravery.  One that makes me realise how much we take for granted everyday what it is to live in Australia, with our freedom and our way of life.

I have loved many of Michelle Yeoh's films.  She is brilliant, and this one is without exception.  I hope you will watch it too

  1. I don't think Aung San Suu Kyi is given enough adulation and credit. She endured similar circumstances to Nelson Mandela.

  2. oh I agree Cindy, she has been referred to as a female Mandela but we just haven't heard enough about her have we so at least this film can educate people about her plight and the people of Burma too
