You may remember this face from a few posts ago..... well I wasn't quite happy with her so I cut out her face and neck and glued her to canvas board.  I then painted in new hair and added some elements including designer paper for her dress and some vintage buttons from my stash for the dress.  I then covered her in beeswax.I feel much happier with her now and it was just fun playing some more...

I have been doing some gluten free baking.  These are Cornflake Cookies.   It seems I didn't quite add enough flour.  I find with GF flour things turn out a little dry so I left this mixture reasonably sticky and I doubled it too as is usual with my baking.    I ended up with two huge flat slabs of biscuit.  It looked like a base ready for something to go on top like caramel or lemon maybe.   But

an op shop can bring.....a lovely stack of tea towels from the op shop recently I also collect new tea towels if they are kitsch enough like with wild flowers or maps or calendars so when mum bought this one off Ebay for me I was so happy.  Another must have criteria for new ones is they must be that lovely thick good quality linen of the vintage ones.a couple of table cloths from the op shop

I have been trying out new mixed media techniques.  Some I have been wanting to try for ages like adding beeswax to a piece.  I love it but it takes a bit of practice to get the look I want. I also tried some texture with kitchen paper towel which is what the seaweed is up the left side and across the bottom, then I added some bling. Anyway I could of played with and changed this piece forever
